In Serenity, the world is reduced to three quiet lines.
Photographed in May 2023 on the Atlantic shore of Portugal near Aveiro, this minimalist seascape transforms beach, ocean, and sky into a composition of pure balance. The lower part of the frame is a wide stripe of soft sand. The upper part mirrors it with an equally broad band of cloudy sky. Between them lies a narrow horizontal line of ocean, precisely centered, dividing earth and air with mathematical calm.
At first glance, the image feels almost suprematist in its simplicity - three fields of color, three horizontal layers, nothing more. Yet when the eye slows down, details emerge. Subtle human footprints scatter across the sand. Gentle waves dissolve at the shoreline. The sky, mostly veiled in white clouds, reveals fragments of blue beyond the softness of the overcast light.
There is no visible sun. No dramatic contrast. Only quiet diffusion and even illumination. The symmetry is intentional, the reduction deliberate. And within that simplicity lies the paradox - abstraction and reality coexist. A graphic composition that is unmistakably nature.
Serenity expresses the calm, timeless presence of the Atlantic coast - minimal yet deeply real, silent yet alive with subtle detail. A limited edition fine art photography print for collectors drawn to minimalist landscapes, contemporary wall art, and the contemplative beauty of sea and sky in perfect balance.

The artist
Denis Churin is a contemporary visual artist working at the intersection of photography and fine art. His practice is rooted in attentive observation and a quiet engagement with the natural world, where the image itself takes precedence over interpretation. Rather than imposing a narrative, the work invites a personal dialogue between the artwork and the viewer.
Denis does not use AI tools in his photography – no sky replacements, no added objects, nothing artificial. Every adjustment is done manually, guided by the philosophy of wabi-sabi: embracing imperfection, transience, and natural textures. This hands-on process is part of the creative act, allowing the true spirit of the place, with all its irregularities and quiet beauty, to shine through exactly as he saw it.

Print quality & production
All prints are produced by theprintspace, a professional fine art printing studio trusted by artists, galleries, and photographers worldwide. Each artwork is printed on demand, ensuring consistent quality, longevity, and careful handling at every stage of production.
▶
Colour Representation
Please note that colours may vary slightly from what you see on your screen. Differences in monitor calibration, screen settings, lighting conditions, and device types can affect how colours are displayed digitally.
Every print is produced with great care to preserve the artist’s original intent, tonal balance, and emotional atmosphere. Subtle variations between on-screen viewing and the physical artwork are a natural part of translating art from a digital environment into a tangible, printed form.

Understanding Sizes
To help you choose the perfect size, we provide a visual reference in the product images. In this image, all available print sizes are “hung” on the wall behind a couch, with a person seated nearby, so you can get a clear sense of scale and proportion.
Each size is labelled directly on the image, allowing you to compare them at a glance and imagine how they might work in your own space. Take your time to explore product images, this visual guide — it’s designed to inspire placement ideas and help you select the size that resonates best with your interior.

Paper & Printing Method
Each print is produced on hand-selected archival Giclée paper, Hahnemühle Photorag, a favorite among photographers, and fine artists. This fine art paper features a super matte finish that renders deep, subtle blacks, preserves fine detail, and ensures consistent, even color reproduction. Its chalky, smooth cotton base provides minimal texture, allowing color gradients to remain delicate and luminous. To maintain the pristine edges, we recommend careful handling of the paper.

Framing options
Selected works are available with pre-made frames in black or white, manufactured by Nielsen Quadrum, a well-established brand recognised for precision-engineered frames. The frames are minimalist, durable, and designed to support the artwork without distracting from it. Framed prints arrive professionally assembled and ready to hang.
Quadrum frames are manufactured in Germany using FSC®-certified wood sourced from responsibly managed forests in accordance with Forest Stewardship Council standards.
The frame glazing is made from edge-ground float glass with an integrated UV filter (approximately 45%), helping to protect the artwork while maintaining optical clarity. For larger formats (A1, 60 × 80 cm, and 70 × 100 cm), a high-quality 3 mm clear acrylic is used to reduce the risk of damage during transit.
Each frame includes an acid-free insert and a rigid rear panel to ensure long-term stability and support. The wooden moulding measures 25 mm in depth and 16 mm in width, offering a clean, balanced profile that complements the artwork without distraction.
